Hainer is an independent outdoor publication operated by Thomas Hainer in Svendborg, Denmark. This policy explains what happens to information when you read the site or contact me.

Ordinary visits

You can read the public site without creating an account. Hainer does not use advertising profiles, behavioural marketing or public visitor accounts.

The hosting provider may process limited technical information such as an IP address, request time, requested page and browser information to deliver the site securely, prevent abuse and diagnose operational problems. This information is handled as part of normal web hosting and security.

Reading preferences

Text size and colour-theme choices are saved locally in your browser. These preferences stay on your device and are not sent to Hainer’s database.

YouTube

Articles with video initially load a local image, not a YouTube player. A connection to YouTube is made only when you choose Afspil video or follow the direct YouTube link. YouTube may then process device and usage information under its own privacy terms.

Contact

The contact page links to third-party services including Instagram, YouTube and Buy Me a Coffee. If you contact me through one of those services, that provider processes your information under its own terms. I use the information you send only to understand and answer your enquiry, arrange a requested service or continue a relevant professional conversation.

Do not send health information, identity documents, payment-card details or other sensitive information through social media.

Administration and storage

Published articles and images are stored using managed database and file-storage services. Administrative access is restricted and uses essential authentication and security controls. Public readers do not receive an administrative account or authentication cookie.

Retention and your rights

Correspondence is kept only for as long as it remains useful for the conversation, a requested service, accounting or a legal obligation. Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction or deletion of personal information you have sent.
