Privacy policy
Last updated 28 July 2026. This site has no public user accounts, newsletter, shop, comments or advertising tracking. Personal data is processed only for the functions described below.
Who is responsible
Thomas Hainer is responsible for the processing of personal data on this site. Use the contact form for privacy questions and requests.
When you visit
Vercel hosts and delivers the site. Technical request information, such as the requested page, time, IP address and browser user agent, may be processed to deliver the site, prevent abuse and maintain operational logs.
Vercel Web Analytics records anonymous, aggregated page views without cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. Vercel Speed Insights records anonymous performance measurements from the browser. These measurements are not tied to an individual visitor or used to build a personal profile.
Contact form
If you send a message, the site processes the name, email address and message you provide, together with the submission time. The message is delivered to the site owner's email inbox through Resend. It is not added to the site's blog database and is not used for marketing.
Vercel BotID evaluates technical browser and request signals when you send the form. BotID uses the result only to identify and reject automated spam.
Videos and external links
Posts that contain a video embed YouTube's own player, and the browser loads it together with the post rather than waiting for you to start the video. Google therefore processes technical request data, including your IP address, when you open such a post, and playback data if you watch. Both fall under Google's own privacy terms.
The browser connects to Instagram or Buy Me a Coffee only after you choose one of their links. Their privacy terms then apply.
Private administration
Neon provides the blog database and the site owner's private authentication. The database contains published post content, media references and the owner's admin email. Vercel Blob stores uploaded blog images. Public visitors do not have accounts, and the database does not store their contact messages.
Service providers
- Vercel - hosting, request security, image storage, anonymous analytics and performance measurement.
- Resend - delivery of contact-form messages by email.
- Neon - blog database and private admin authentication.
- Google/YouTube - the embedded video player, which loads with any post that contains a video.
Personal data is not sold. These providers may process data in countries outside Denmark under their applicable data-processing and transfer safeguards.
Purpose and legal basis
Data needed to deliver, secure and improve the site, prevent spam and answer messages is processed on the basis of the legitimate interests in operating a reliable website and responding to enquiries. The site limits the processing to the information needed for those purposes.
Retention
Contact correspondence is kept only while it is needed to answer and follow up on the message, or longer if necessary to document a legal matter. Anonymous analytics, performance data, security logs and email delivery records are retained according to the settings and retention periods of the service providers listed above. Admin session data expires or is removed when the site owner signs out.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, or object to its processing. Send a request through the contact form. You may also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency.
