About

I'm Thomas Hainer, a Danish fly fishing guide with a lifelong connection to the water. Born in Copenhagen in 1976 and raised in Svendborg, I discovered fly fishing as a child and have spent decades refining my skills, learning from the rivers, and guiding others to do the same.

Fly fishing has never been just a sport to me. It has been a way of understanding nature, patience, and skill. I have spent years fishing some of the most challenging and rewarding waters in Scandinavia, from the salmon-rich rivers of Norway to the shifting tides of Denmark's coastline.

Since 2017, I have guided anglers on the Aaroy river in Norway, a place that challenges even the most experienced fishermen. In 2013, I expanded my guiding to include sea trout fishing along the south Funen coast of Denmark. These waters have taught me more than technique; they have shaped my approach to fishing and conservation.

Fly fishing is about more than catching fish. It is about understanding the water, reading its movement, and respecting the life within it. My role as a guide is not just to lead but to teach. Every angler deserves a tailored experience that helps them improve their technique and deepen their connection to the sport.

The water is ever changing. Every cast, every river, and every experience is different. That is what makes this pursuit so rewarding. If you want to experience fly fishing in its purest form, I would be honoured to guide you.
