About me
Early Beginnings in Fishing
Born in Denmark in 1976, I began fishing at the age of three, casting lines into the ocean in search of trout. Consequently, this early exposure quickly developed into a lifelong passion. As a result, growing up, I honed my skills in sea trout fishing, which, in turn, shaped my lifestyle around this rewarding activity. Additionally, these early experiences laid the foundation for my future endeavors. Therefore, my childhood was filled with valuable lessons from the water.
Transition to Norway
As I matured, I moved from Denmark’s saltwater coasts to Norway’s freshwater rivers. There, I mastered fly fishing for salmon. Moreover, for the past decade, I have guided numerous anglers, teaching fly fishing techniques amidst Norway’s stunning landscapes. Therefore, guiding has enriched my understanding of fishing, thanks to the diverse experiences with each river and every angler. Furthermore, these experiences have deepened my appreciation for the art of fishing. Additionally, this journey has expanded my knowledge and skills.
Four Decades of Fishing Experience
With over 40 years of fishing experience, I embody patience, respect for nature, and the belief that fishing is more than just catching fish. Indeed, it’s about connecting with the environment and protecting natural habitats. Additionally, I have always aimed to foster a deeper appreciation for nature in others. As a result, I emphasize the importance of sustainable fishing practices. Therefore, my approach combines technical expertise with a strong conservation ethic. Furthermore, I constantly strive to learn and improve my methods.
Commitment to Conservation
As a guide, I aim to teach both the technical skills for successful fly and sea trout fishing. Additionally, I strive to instill a sense of awe and commitment to conservation in every angler. Besides, the rivers and coasts have been my greatest teachers, and I am privileged to share their wisdom. Moreover, my goal is to convey the joy, challenge, and peace of fishing to those eager to embark on this enduring journey. Consequently, I continuously seek to improve my own practices and share this knowledge with others. Furthermore, I believe that educating others about conservation can make a significant impact. Additionally, I hope to inspire a community dedicated to protecting natural habitats.
Sharing Wisdom from Nature
Additionally, by teaching technical skills and promoting conservation, I hope to inspire a deeper connection with nature in every angler I guide. Ultimately, I want to ensure that every angler not only enjoys fishing but also understands the importance of preserving our natural habitats. Thus, I continuously share my experiences to help others appreciate the essence of fishing. Furthermore, my dedication to conservation is reflected in my guiding philosophy. In addition, my experiences have taught me that ongoing education is crucial for effective conservation. Therefore, I remain committed to lifelong learning and teaching.
Inspiring Anglers
In conclusion, my journey has been about more than just fishing; it’s about imparting the knowledge and values that help protect and cherish our natural world. Hence, I continue to share my passion and experience with those willing to learn and appreciate the true essence of fishing. As a result, I hope to inspire future generations of anglers to respect and protect our precious natural resources. Ultimately, by instilling these values, I aim to contribute to a sustainable future for fishing. Additionally, I am dedicated to fostering a community that values and protects our environment.

Thomas is a fantastic guide with a deep knowledge about salmon fishing and he knows “his rivers” down to each little pocket where the fish might hide/stand.
As a person, he is very helpful, very service minded, and emphatic making you as the customer feel good and in safe hands. Also very social and fun to be with.
I can highly recommend Thomas.
Hadde noen fantastiske fiskedager i Årøy-elven i Sogn.
